In an event hosted by Gerber, LLC, Trisha Harp, M.S., C.P.C., founder of The Harp Family Institute and relationship advocate and coach for entrepreneurial couples, will present ‘Best Practices of Highly Satisfied Couples’ at Columbus’s sparkspace on Thursday, May 2.
Featuring the results of on-going research collected from more than 300 individuals and entrepreneurial couples nationwide, Harp’s presentation offers couples tips in four key areas that will increase their satisfaction with both their personal and business lives, and help keep their marriage strong.
Harp will also discuss:
- The role a significant other may play in the success or failure of a business
- How much entrepreneurs should share with their significant others, and when
- Some effective planning and communication strategies entrepreneurs can implement
- The importance of creating a shared vision with their partner
- How entrepreneurs can increase the buy-in of their significant others for their companies

Founded in 2011, the Harp Family Institute is a research and coaching firm specializing in working with couples where one or both partners is an entrepreneur. The institute’s comprehensive, research-based programs focus on providing actionable best practices for business owners and their partners worldwide.
In 1997, Harp co-founded On My Own of Michigan, a non-profit organization providing real life living skills and activities for young adults with developmental disabilities. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Michigan and an M.S. in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University.
