GETTING YOUR BUSINESS SECURITY IN CHECK
NOVEMBER 1, 2016
The Gerber team teamed up with Holbrook & Manter to bring Discovery guests a unique perspective on business security. A former officer in the Israel Defense Force’s elite cyber unit, Paz Grimberg brought his background in mathematical decryption and vulnerability research in internet protocols to offer the dos and don’ts of the web for business owners.
Below are a few highlights from the event to ensure your business information stays protected.
Gone Phishing | An easy trick in identifying email phishing: misspellings! Simple changes like replacing an L with an I (jim@yahoo.com vs jlm@yahoo.com) are cause for alarm.
Passwords | Cyber hackers aren't necessarily after your social security number anymore. Your Gmail account login info is the new social security number.
Beware of the Human Factor | Hackers are now exploiting the human factor in your business more than ever. Try educating your team on reading URLs and what to look out for in the cybersecurity world.
